CTC conducted techno-economic, socio-cultural and environmental impacts of UEP Power Plant Jhimpir, District Thatta, Sindh. RETScreen software was used to measure the techno-economic and environmental impacts of the power plant based on secondary data, whereas primary data was also collected through a survey within five (05) kilometre radius of the UEP Wind Power Plant. The assessment provided measures for direct and indirect impacts on local economy, society, culture, and environment of the project area.
This assessment aimed to identify the social, economic, and environmental impacts of Gwadar Port, considering port operations, transport, environmental, and climate factors. CTC developed a comprehensive methodology and reviewed relevant literature on existing conditions. Key indicators—including environmental, economic, and social factors—were assessed through a structured questionnaire to evaluate the port’s current status and potential areas for improvement. The assessment provided critical insights to guide sustainable development strategies for Gwadar Port.
This assessment aimed to improve accessibility along the Common Alignment under CPEC, focusing on the Hazara Expressway (E35). CTC carried out the study covering technical, economic, social and environmental impacts of the expressway. Primary and secondary data were collected through key stakeholder’s interviews and field observations. The assessment provided critical insights on the socio-economic impacts of this key project.
CTC in consultation with Indufor worked with the Federal Ministry of Climate Change to develop the National REDD+ Strategy and its implementation Framework for Pakistan. The strategic planning and development for REDD+, focused on providing a direction to reduce carbon emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in Pakistan. A comprehensive consultation process was designed to include communities, government departments, civil society organizations, academia, forest owners, mining and agriculture sectors, and market players.
This project aimed to assess the impact of Trocaire livelihoods and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) initiatives, with a focus on marginalized groups. CTC conducted a comprehensive review of program documents, reports, and studies, supplemented by a baseline survey. Key activities included identifying tools, training enumerators, and facilitating key informant interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) to evaluate the Resource Rights program. Gender and inclusivity considerations were integrated into the assessment framework. The assessment provided actionable insights to strengthen monitoring and evaluation capacities and improve program effectiveness for marginalized groups.
