Assessment of Operationality and Functionality of 62 Nutrition Stabilization Centers in 36 Districts, Punjab

In Punjab, Pakistan we conducted a comprehensive physical assessment of Nutrition Stabilization Centers (NSCs). Infrastructure, equipment availability, staffing deployment, and other resources, including nutritional supplements were assessed to identify the functioning status and evaluate the services provided to the target population. CTC provided a thorough review of the gaps in the delivery of services and provided actionable recommendations for improving the capacity of NSCs to give optimal treatment to Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) in children in the province.

Strengthening CSO engagement in immunization at sub-national level

CTC conducted a mapping survey to obtain key insight about immunisation in Pakistan. Relevant actors and the capacity of CSOs were assessed with the aim to reduce equity-related gaps in childhood immunisation and thereby improving coverage rates for childhood immunization. A detailed report was developed with the indicated gaps and a description of the context together with specific recommendations on the thematic areas to be included in the training plan for optimizing efforts in immunization.

Capacity-Building and Systems Development in Support of a Sindh Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Policy, Strategy and Implementation Framework

CTC was engaged under the project to build the capacity of the health department for preparing a Nutrition Policy, strategy and implementation framework in the Sindh Province of Pakistan. CTC supported the Conseil Santé in establishing a revolving fund for the project, along with identifying applicants for recruitment and ensuring quality performance throughout the project implementation.

Compilation of contributions of Civil Society Organisations for Polio Transition and Integration

To advance polio integration and transition efforts in their respective countries in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ethiopia, Nigeria, South Sudan and Benin. CTC developed the advocacy tool kit for CSOs to support their advocacy work for polio transition and integration. Conducting individual interviews of CSO efforts and contributions, CTC produced the final consolidated report on CSO contributions on polio transition and integration in these regions.

Barriers to Accessing COVID-19-related Healthcare for Afghan Refugees

During the pandemic, we carried out an assessment to identify the underlying barriers to accessing COVID-19 information, testing facilities, treatment options, and vaccination among Afghan refugees and host communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. We conducted a KAP survey, and assessed gaps in service delivery with health workers and developed an analysis of existing policy frameworks to determine the integration of refugees in national vaccination programmes.
